XENOPHILIA, VR SOCIAL PLATFORM

I worked on Xenophilia, a narrative-driven game focused on uniting the three major Middle Eastern religions. I streamlined the introduction by removing unnecessary elements and refining the onboarding experience to create a clearer, more engaging opening. I also developed new gameplay systems and VR mechanics, including a custom sonar-based interaction system to enhance immersion and spatial awareness.

  • One of the main points of interest I addressed was the (FOV) which was too limited for a VR title, making it difficult for players to explore and discover key parts of the environment.

  • We addressed this by conducting iterative playtests to evaluate different FOV settings and identify the optimal balance between comfort, visibility, and immersion.

  • Reimagined and rebuilt the game’s introduction, pitching high-level narrative and structural concepts to align the team on a stronger opening to the experience.

  • I designed a global hub environment that allowed players to clearly visualize and access multiple playable chapters set in different locations around the world.
